I've seen some messages about a problem with white noise when playing back
DVP files. I also noticed this while recording new files recently.
I took a peek at the offending files with a file viewer in hex mode and
noticed
that the noise would start at a point where the sound level hit maximum.
When I rerecorded the messages with the microphone a little further away
from my mouth, the problem went away. As long as I didn't 'flat-top',
there was no
problem.
