Thanks for reading this message.
Before submitting my ARRL 10 m entry had a last minute
look through the rules and noticed the bit about 'on'
and 'off' times.
The 'General Rules for All ARRL Contests' spell out the
format of an electronic log file. It says in paragraph
4.8 that on and off times are to be indicated in a
separate column.
My ZL2DX.LOG file doesn't appear to have that info (not
surprising since I didn't use OPON/OPOFF or ON/OFF
during the contest). It has a mysterious column of zeros
at the end however.
How do other people produce a .log file to ARRL
standards? Should I have used ON/OFF? I am considering
sending a .OPR lookalike file along with my entry
indicating when I took my naps, provided the ARRL won't
disqualify it on a technicality...
Incidentally, indicating on and off times on a QSO line
makes no sense to me. Listening time counts as on time.
Wilbert ZL2BSJ.
