You type NOVICE in the field where you'd type a call you copied, then hit 
ENTER.  The Novice bands are now available.

<< Trying to enter our novice paper log into CT.  When I try to toggle
 Alt-F1 or Alt-F2 the Novice bands are skipped.  There must be a way, but
