Joe,

You will need to get the Kenwood IF-232C Level translator. This device will
interface your radio to one of the computer's COM ports. You may have to
configure the radio's menu to open the port to the radio. Refer to your
TS-450 manual.

The KAM works with CT as a regular TNC. When you set this up you will lose
the dual port capability while running under CT.

Read the CT manual as to initial setup and all will become clear.
