We seem to be be getting a lot of questions outside the reflector
lately. Here are some answers:

1. CT doesn't recognize the West Central Florida (WCF) section.

There are two different issues here. First, did you download the most
recent section files from the CT web site into your CT directory? These
were released on June 9. I have a 9.50 installation disk and verified that
the correct section files are on the disk.

The second issue is the multiplier window. The window was one line too
short in version 9.50 and earlier, and thus didn't show the new WCF
section. You could log WCF, it just wasn't shown in the window. A second
problem with the window occurred in version 9.50 - sometimes some or many
sections just aren't shown! There was a long-time initialization bug in CT
which caused this to happen, but didn't manifest itself until version
9.50! This was fixed in 9.51. 9.51 *also* fixes the display of the WCF
section - the window is now one line longer.

Summary: Download the updated section files from the web site.
Download 9.51 from the web site.

2. How do I generate Cabrillo output from CT?

First, visit this web page or read the article in November 2000 QST:

       http://www.k1ea.com/cabrillo.htm

Now having said that, there are some problems with Cabrillo output in its
current form. The CATEGORY field is not correct - CT doesn't output
whether you were Single Op, Multi-Single, etc. Furthermore, there term
"Single Unlimited" is used in CQWW where "Single Assisted" is the correct
term. Finally, the ZIP code isn't included in the address. Ken is working
on resolving these issues and there should be a release this weekend (ARRL
SS CW) to address them.

Summary: Cabrillo is a work in progress. Wait for the next release before
using CT to generate a Cabrillo log for CQWW. There's no rush!
