Thanks for reading this. 

I see in the rules that Hawaii and Alaska operate as 'DX', yet send their 
State. How do I make CT accept 'HI' and the abbreviation for Alaska 
(whatever it is).

In the past I got round this problem by entering a serial number to make 
CT swallow the QSO. Afterwards,  as part of the log massaging :-|  I would 
edit the Cabrillo file, replacing it with whatever the bloke sent me.
