ZoneAlarm (which is free) will ask you (with a pop-up window) when a program
wants internet access, unlike Norton Personal Firewall, which will silently
block outgoing access.
ZoneAlarm is the #1 downloaded and (I think) the best firewall. it is free.

Are you using a firewall like ZoneAlarm? Each time the application changes,
the firewall needs to know about it.
