CT will correctly read the radio when CT first loads up.  The initial band, 
mode, and freq (in the bandmap) are correct.  After that no more read data, 
jsut commands to the radio.  
The plot thickens.  I seem to remember that polling time used to be an 
adjustable parameter.  Anyone know about that?
