Version 4.02 does support classless routing. From a logistics stand
point I would recommend starting at the CPEs first and work you way back
making sure you have a default gateway for the CPE to talk to. This
gateway, once CPE are changed will then be assigned to the base station.
Also you should test this on a system you have access to first, once its
working the just copy this config to the customers CPEs.

While I fully agree with the change (I always recommend routing at the
CPE) why the change?

Urgent, because I would like to do this on the Holiday, while no one is
using the system :)

I want to set up routing rather than bridging.

Does Karlnet IP Router allow subnets of varying length within 1 Class C
or does it expect all Subnets within the Class C to be the same length?

Can I use a /26 and then several /30 subnets within 1 Class C or must I
use all /26 or all /30 subnets?

Next question. Must I start configuring at the furthest hop out and work
back to the base to be able to maintain connectivity of the remotes?

Jim
