Hello,
I have 20 units of the Cabletron /
Enterasys 802.11 DS PC Cards purchased here in Australia. I
understand that these cards are just a rebadged standard orinoco
card.
I need to be able to change the card firmware from
the Cabletron / Enterasys 802.11 DS firware the
the lucent firmware so that the card will work correctly in a Turbocell access
point, I think that because the card is still picked up as a cabletron card via
the stage 3 indentifier hex firmware on the card it will not function correctly
in a TC access point.
I have manged to get one working in Windows with
the Turbocell NDIS client software by fooling windows that he card in the slot
was a real Orinoco PC Card (5volt), but I guess the access point is a bit more
smarter than windows.
I have used the wsu608orb.exe software unitility
upgrade on the card, but I am wondering if there is another software utility
available that will upgrade card firmware stage 1, stage 2 & stage 3 to an
Orinoco ?
