I have been told since day one not too use the watchdog reboot timer by a couple other people that use Karlnet. To be honest I have it enabled on about 90% of all my radios and they are running fine. So who knows.....

Hi George
Base station is running 4.02, doing nothing but bridging.

Clients are RG's running (I think) 4.02, no bridging, but NATing to client PC's on the wired side.

I also had one client RG that hung on a regular basis - maybe this one was a bit sick I dont know... however after turning off watchdog reboot timer on this it is now cured too...

Hello all,
Looking back through the list over the past few months it is apparent there has been 'issues' with TC ISP Bases (wavepoint II / AP-1000 or equivalent) hanging on a regular basis. We've had the same problem right from day one with our 2.4ghz system. Sometimes they lockup one card, other times both cards or the entire unit. This was happening sometimes every 2 or 3 days, however a reboot fixed it... until next time.

3 weeks ago we tried taking the tick out of 'enable watchdog reboot timer' - bingo!   Problem gone. we havent had to reboot once since then - touchwood....

Its seems ironic that this feature designed to 'cure' lockups was actually causing them !

I am sure every system is different, however in our case it certainly worked a treat... food for thought for anyone else out there having the same problems.

Regards
