I don't think I've seen anybody here suggesting you should 'OPEN CONFIG BIN
FILE' after opening remote config.

No. It loses ALL SETUP, and becomes a freshly base booted AP with some funny
IP address and no default route. You'd have fun configuring it even if you
had access to it's ethernet.
