I just spoke with Doug Karl.
Future upgrades can be done in the field. You will not have to send in your
units.

Paul,
I have been on vacation for a couple of weeks, BUT:
1. I believe that upgrades can be done remotely
2. I will verify that on Tuesday!
Really I am 80% sure that only the FIRST upgrade has to be done manually by
our techs. After that, I am under the impression that you can upload
upgrades.

Can anyone clarify if these low cost CPEs can be
upgraded when new bin files come out? I know Karlnet
needs to flash the first bin file, but surely they
don't expect us to go and retrieve them from our
networks and send them back if a bin file upgrade is
necessary? I have a horrible feeling they do and that
I may have just made a mistake by ordering some...
Paul
