I am playing with the KN50 and the radio has two mc card connectors
which one to use? I'm getting crappy results either way and this is
still indoors, any help would be apprieciated.

That information is NOT correct.

We are selling this current batch with an AGERE HERMES I chipset card,
which is the same as a "gold" card.

The board CAN support the 100mw cards, BUT we have NOT added that
support yet! ( SO DON'T TRY IT ).
