They are degrees celsius.

I'm preparing to buy these - if the temps you reported are in farenheight, they won't work for me....
If in celsius I'll be ok.
For my info, since I've not purchased yet & don't know what they report in, is that F or C ?

I'm aware the KN-100 boards could/do have possible heat problems, but apparently "the heat issue is resolved".

Yesterday, a customer reported that 5 of his KN-100 boards failed due to heat. Yesterday the temperature had only reached 35 degrees.

4 of the units were equipped with senao 200mw cards (with heat sinks) in Demarc outdoor enclosures. Ethernet cable lengths were 10-15 meters and 12V1A power supplies where used. Also the customer was using latest revision of the firmware (4.44).

1 of the units was equipped with a 30mw (Orinoco) card in Demarc outdoor enclosure, Ethernet cable length was 10-15 meters and 12V1A power supply. This one also failed in this heat.

All of these units failed with an on board temperature of about 59 degrees, but the customer also reported that the some of other units did not fail had on board temperatures of 64 degrees. Why do some units fail with an on board temperature at around 59 degrees and others do not?

This customer is pro-active as he is using lower voltage power supplies and has applied heat sinks to the cards. What else can we do to solve this problem without the use of fans?

What is Karlnet doing to resolve these problems?

Thanks.
