I, as well had little problems upgrading, (after using the correct
Configurator)..
I think I upgraded my flashrom unit with old Configurator, and it lost all the
settings for the wireless interfaces, freq, id, etc.
And then, as a precaution, I first loaded the configuration for all customer
antennas with Configurator V5, then saved, before going through the upgrade to
ensure that there wouldn't be any surprise truck rolls.
So far, so good.. but I don't have any AP-1000's that run TC.

I had zero issues upgrading. I did some remote AP1000's, kn205's,
rg1000's...
