We have about 100 RG1100 and AP1000's in service in Oklahoma and nary a heat problem. The AP's have fans to circulate air inside the 24" x 24" box. The CPE RG's are in 8"x 8" box with no fan.

David,

I use both in So. Texas without heat issues. My last AP1000 went 2 years before lightning took it out.

I've started using RG-1100's with SEC in some neighborhood microPOPs.
Anyone know what the heat limit is on these? We're past the main hot
season here in north/central Texas, I just wonder if I'm looking at
swapping some of these out next year when the heat returns and
delivers its relentless, paralyzing onslaught of thermal grief.

Oh, also, what about AP-1000's?
