NA version 10.06 is now available on the LTA BBS. This version
repairs several issues raised since version 10.04 released
in July:
- When printing logs, the date would be a day or so off for
QSOs in late December of the year prior to a leap year.
Note: affects printing ONLY, the date data is CORRECT in
the QDF file. This problem has been present in every NA
version since 6.00! Fixed in NA 10.05, NAQSL 3.12 and
NAU 1.22.
- Corrected the algorithm for calculating Minutes/Mult.
- Fixed QTH MUST MATCH FOR DUPE feature which did not compare
the current to duped QTH correctly when the data was less
than four characters long.
- Entering a frequency without a radio connected did not
change the default frequency for that band. Affected
passing frequencies between computers in a NA Network,
particularly on VHF.
- If program is started without packet, then packet is added
in the EQUIPMENT CONTROL PANEL, opening the packet window
with alt-o or alt-t would cause an error or crash.
- Auto Call Check now uses length of entered text rather than
the cursor position to enter check. Example: if you entered
three letters, then cursored to left edge of field and added
a letter, Auto Call Check would not re-check; now it will.
NEW FEATURE:
In Practice Mode, if a Callsign Database is loaded, calls will
be picked from that database rather than randomly generated,
providing for increased realism.
At the moment, the only remaining serious problem is a conflict
between the use of Callsign Databases and the DVP which causes
the program to crash.
We expect to have a version addressing this problem released
by 9/12/96, which will take care of people operating the SSB
Sprint.
For VHF users, this version will also have a feature where you
can manually adjust the center of the grid map (particularly
useful for long haul 6M openings!).
Thanks for your help and feedback!
As always send problem reports to LTA@contesting.com.
