Re: Using NA in IARU
There have been a number of comments on the reflector about NA issues in the
IARU contest:
1) NA's four digit field for HQ abbreviations have been that way since 1988.
The ARRL (who checks the logs) has never complained in all of that time, so I'm
not going to worry about it - just truncate the abbreviation and move on. This
was good enough even for the bionic log-checkers-on-steriods at last years
WRTC, so I don't think its an issue.
2) Yes, phone-only logs stick the QSO totals in the CW column, both on the
screen SCORE WINDOW and on the summary sheet. Funny, this goes back all the
way to NA 9.00 and nobody's noticed.
I looked through this problem in detail today after Jeff, K8ND had reported it.
The QSOs <ARE> being logged on the right band, the score window and summary
sheet are wrong but everything else is right. I have 10.20 ready to go that
we'll have up on the web site in the next day or so which fixes everything.
