Doug,
Jack, W1WEF used to sell keying interfaces for a reasonable price.
Also, the Universal Interface that DATOM offers has the CW keying
interface in it - you can ignore the external voice keyer part if you
like. There is information/pix on the web site at h
ttp://www,contesting.com/datom.

Subject: [na-user] Using NA with FT-1000
NA Users-
Have used NA for several years and just bought version 10.2 last week.
I'm ready to interface my FT-1000 to my Compag computer and NA for
sending
CW.
Trying to use MFJCOM (and a MFJ-1278B) with NA for the SS was VERY
frustrating! I had to switch programs in Windows 95 twice to make each
contact. For some reason, the serial number (contact number) sent by
MFJCOM
and the serial number in my NA log didn't correspond after X number of
contacts, so when I noticed this, I would have to reset the MFJCOM
serial
numbe, and I'm sure i sent out many incorrect contact numbers. Enough!
LTA used to sell interface cords, etc. Does anyone do that
now????????????
Last week I bought the 2N2222 transistors, etc. for the LPT PORT or DB9
PORT
interfacing. Has anyone on the reflector done this with the FT-1000. I
presently have the MFJ-1278B connected to the DB-9 PORT so I suppose I
could
use an A/B switch and my LPT PORT that the HP printer is presently
connected
to?
