I still haven't been able to get my CVB working. Here is the story so =
far:
- Recently installed new hard drive with Win98. NA1053 up and running.
- W98 recognised my 4 port expansion card with IRQs 4,3,5,7 allocated.
- Reinstalled Sound Blaster and using DOS :-
- 8 files in c:\program files\creative\ctsnd\drv were hidden. Altered =
attributes to unhide.
- Had to add \drv to path in autoexec.bat to pick up CT-VOICE.DRV
- My version of CT-VOICE.DRV is same as listed in CVB FAQs on DATOM =
Website
- But tried to find later version by searching Creative site, nothing =
found
- So e-mailed Creative support and received following answer :
"If it is not included in driver download from =
www.europe.creative.com/support/drivers
"it is in original installation CD. Otherwise you just have to search =
it from Internet."
- I do note that my config.sys file has nothing in it. Should there be =
for this?
I have lodged the CVB s/w with two knowledgeable UK friends, one is in =
HB9 & the other in SV at present so still awaiting response. Other than =
that I don't know what else to do. If any one else has got CVB working =
can you please add any information as there are several of us on the =
Reflector who would like to get this sorted. Thanks and 73 Chris
