MIke, when you say you lock up, does anything still seem to work? Does
the frequency readout still change and volume or is it frozen in all
regards? I've had three or four occasions where I seem to be receiving
OK at first. The VFO changes the readout and the volume adjusts the
volume but no signals--it's like I'm frozen in time. In fact, when I
ground the antenna or change antennas, I get the same background noise.

My Orion will lock; stop; dead. It has done it 4-5 times in the last
few days. A quick off-on cures it; for awhile anyway.
Conditions: 1.keying in CW
2. no changes to ...anything have occurred.
3. did not as yet upgrade the software
4. antenna's VSWR is 1.5:1 or less.
5. what else?
Suggestions, ideas, help?
