Hi all..... Ref: Bill W4ZV and Jim N7US comments on the Orion's receiver. My XYL KA4S is an accountant without credentials!! Bill, W4ZV is right on again with his comments on the second receiver in the Orion and I'll only add, it does offer the 'general' coverage, which I do like for SWLing and to hear WSB in Atlanta from Maryville, TN on a N/S beverage to hear the Braves, hi. The first receiver is still the very best of any I've ever tuned and worth more than paid for it. I've not used the new Yaesu or Icom and not taking anything away from them, but I do know what the Orion is. An American designed and built radio that works beyond my expectations and comes with a dedicated crew in an upgrading mode listening to 'US'. I always enjoy comments about the center piece in this shack. 73, Lynn W4NL _______________________________________________ Orion mailing list Orion@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/orion |
