Carl,

I appreciate your comment.  However, if we could read/write all the
Orion's settings from the computer, we could be sure that the user has
a consistent experience when running "local" or "remote".  That's just
the problem I was seeing:  Changing bands from the control panel can
produce a different result than changing them from the computer,
because of the "hidden" band buttons, band stacking regs, and the
antenna selection menu.  There's no way the computer can know how those
things are set up by the user.
