Sunspot group # 10693 has produced two more very large and power solar flares.
An M9 occurred at approximately 1659 UTC on November 9, 2004 and an X2 at
approximately 0141 UTC on November 10, 2004. Both were Earth facing and the M9
produced yet another full halo coronal mass ejection. I'm not sure as yet about
the X2 solar flare as far as a CME. In any event both solar flares caused radio
blackouts on the day light side of our planet today.
We still have ongoing strong (Kp-7) to extreme (Kp-9) geomagnetic storming
occurring at the moment. It appears that we will continue with on again off
again geomagnetic storming through November 11-13, 2004.
