KN4LF Daily LF/MF/HF/6M Frequency Radiowave Propagation Forecast #2008-12A
Date Format is MM/DD/YYYY.
Published Monday 03/24/2008 at 1600 UTC
In the past 24 hours two new sunspot groups formed on the east limb of the
Sun, #10987 at S08E50 and S720 at S07E71. The solar flux responded by
nudging up to 73 and could reach 80 within the next 72 hours. The daily
sunspot number could reach 30.
Therefore we could see a moderate boost in the MUF of the F2 layer and some
short term improvement of propagation conditions on ham radio bands 20, 17,
15 and 12 meters and shortwave broadcast bands 22, 17, 13 and 11 meters.
