It has been fun using the SDO/AIA images to watch the growth and movement
of the new Catania sunspot region, number 74 (initial sunspot count =
12). The 10.7-cm flux is rising, as expected.
Here is a composite view of the Sun, using various wavelenths as seen by
the AIA instruments aboard SDO:

This is a large view... most browsers wil shrink it to fit the browser
window, but then allo you to zoom in... when you zoom in, use the sunspot
region (the big black area that looks like a spot!), and you will get a
much more detailed "close-up" view of the new sunspot region.
