This is somewhat off-topic, but might be worth mentioning. You wrote:

While that is USUALLY true, it doesn't always work right. When Gmail
sends outgoing email with an alternate address you have, it includes a
header line that shows the message was actually sent through your
Gmail account. That line is supposed to be there to make it kosher,
and is normally not displayed unless you examine all the hidden email
header lines.
However, some email programs, Microsoft's Outlook being one of them,
INCORRECTLY use that header line and label your email as having come
from your Gmail account instead of the alias. Doing that violates the
Internet RFC's for email, but Microsoft does it anyway.
So it doesn't work with everyone who receives your emails. Anyone
using Outlook would see your Gmail address instead. Most everyone
else, though, would see your sunspotwatch.com or hfradio.org alias
address.
