It has been a good long while since we had activity on this mailing list.  With social media becoming such a big part of our society and hobbies, mailing lists sometimes fall by the wayside.  Such could be what is happening with this list.  However, I am hoping to ignite some activity, by starting to post on a daily basis.  I will be posting the same thing, everyday, but with the twist that the same is not the same, in truth.  How can this be? you ask.  Simple: the daily posting is about that day's Solar activity, as well as geomagnetic and ionospheric conditions.  So, on the face of things, it might seem that the posts are repetitive.  They are, however, as closer inspection reveals, as varied as the daily variance of our local star, and the fluctuations of the Sun-Earth connection and Earth's response.

This, of course, is of interest to all list members, be you pigeon racers, radio communicators, or scientists interested in these events, and so on.  So, for this purpose, please watch for the new, daily posting.

Each post will have information, but also links to images and graphs.  Some mail programs will strip out these elements, while some will allow you to view them.  I cannot control that.  And, some of you don't want images, anyway.  But, if you do wish to see them, and you cannot, then go to the mailing list archives and you can view them, there. (See the end of this message for the link to the list page).

Also, please feel free to begin discussions of what is being posted.  Please feel free to make suggestions for additional content.  This mailing list can be a great asset in our exploration of this science.

Thank you for being a part of this mailing list.
