Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Jan 25 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity remained very low and no spots were present on the solar disk. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels all three days (25-27 Jan).
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels.
The greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued at background values.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels all three days (25-27 Jan). The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters appeared to indicate a likely connection with a negative polarity CH HSS. Total field ranged from 4-10 nT while the Bz component was variable between +8/-9 nT. Phi angle became mostly negative after 24/2000 UTC while the solar wind speed increased from approximately 350 km/s to near 430 km/s.
Forecast: Solar wind parameters are likely to remain slightly enhanced under a weak negative polarity CH HSS for the next three days (25-27 Jan).
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to active levels under a slightly enhanced geomagnetic field, likely associated with a weak connection to a negative polarity CH HSS.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to unsettled levels for the forecast period (25-27 Jan) under weak CH HSS influences.
