Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Jan 28 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity remained very low. The solar disk was spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels all three days of the forecast period (28-30 Jan).

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels over the next three days (28-30 Jan).

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters reflected declining CH HSS influence. Wind speeds decreased from 440 km/s to 350 km/s. Total field peaked at 5 nT while Bz did not drop lower than -4 nT. Phi angle was negative.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to be near nominal or slightly enhanced over the next three days (28-30 Jan) due to the anticipated, weak influence from a negative polarity CH HSS.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at mostly quiet levels for the remainder of day one (28 Jan). Days two and three (29-30 Jan) are likely to observed unsettled conditions from weak CH HSS influence.
