Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Apr 30 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. The solar disk was spotless and inactive. No Earth directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low over the next three days (30 Apr-02 May).
Energetic Particles
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels this period with a peak flux of 1,270 pfu at 29/2130 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels throughout the period.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on day one (30 Apr) and moderate levels on days two and three (01-02 May). The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: The solar wind environment was at nominal levels. Solar wind speed averaged about 365 km/s through 30/0200 UTC. Thereafter, and through periods end, wind speeds increased to about 450 km/s. Total field peaked at 8 nT while the Bz component varied between +/-6 nT. Phi angle remained in a predominately positive orientation.
Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to remain at nominal levels throughout the forecast period (30 Apr-02 May).
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to isolated unsettled levels.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at mostly quiet levels, with a chance for isolated unsettled periods, all three days (30 Apr-02 May).
