Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Sep 10 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2721 (N10W36, Bxo/beta) exhibited decay this period and was quiet. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low on 10-12 Sep.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach moderate levels on 10-12 Sep and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were at nominal levels. Solar wind speed ranged from 344-438 km/s. Total field ranged from 1-7 nT while the Bz component was between +7/-5 nT. Phi angle was oriented in a mostly positive (away) solar sector.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to become enhanced late on 10 Sep through 11-12 Sep due to the effects of a CIR followed by the influence of a positive polarity CH HSS. Solar wind data from previous rotations and STEREO-A suggest wind speeds near 550-600 km/s are likely during the forecast period.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to reach active levels late on 10 Sep, G2 (Moderate) levels on 11 Sep, and G1 (Minor) storm levels on 12 Sep due to the effects of a CIR followed by the influence of a positive polarity CH HSS.
