Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2018 Sep 26 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low, and the visible disk was spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels on 26-28 Sep.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels during the period. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was steady at background levels throughout the period.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels throughout the forecast period (26-28 Sep). The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters underwent a slight, albeit brief, enhancement late in the period due to a SSBC. Solar wind speeds peaked around 470 km/s, and then decreased to near 420 km/s. Total field peaked at 7 nT early in the period, and the Bz component has been +/- 5 nT. The phi angle has been mostly positive.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to remain slightly enhanced on 26 Sep under the waning influence of an SSBC. A return to mostly nominal conditions is expected for 27 and 28 Sep.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to unsettled levels on 26 Sep. Mostly quiet levels are expected on 27 and 28 Sep with a return to background solar wind conditions.
