Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 Jan 16 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: The visible disk remained spotless and solar activity remained very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in coronagraph imagery available at this time.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low for 16-18 Jan.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: Flux at geosynchronous orbit of electrons greater than 2 MeV remained at normal to moderate levels. Flux of 10 MeV protons at geosynchronous orbit remained at background levels.
Forecast: Flux at geosynchronous orbit of electrons greater than 2 MeV is expected to remain at normal to moderate levels. Flux of 10 MeV protons at geosynchronous orbit is expected to remain at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: The solar wind field, measured at L1, remained nominal. Wind speed averaged near 380 km/s and phi was in a predominantly negative orientation. Total field strength was generally near 5 nT, while the Bz component was between +/-5.
Forecast: The solar wind environment is expected to be at nominal levels on 16-18 Jan.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet levels.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to remain at quiet levels on 16-18 Jan.
