Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2743 (N03W74, Axx/alpha) remained inactive. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain very low 26-28 Jun as Region 2743 continues its quiet trend while rotating towards the west limb.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels 26-28 Jun and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters became slightly enhanced late this period due to glancing influence from a CH HSS. Total field values reached 7 nT, and the Bz component underwent a southward deflection of -6 nT. Wind speeds increased from around 320 km/s to a peak of 405 km/s before settling around 380-390 km/s. The phi angle was positive until approximately 25/1939 UTC when a SSBC occurred, bringing it into a negative solar sector with brief excursions into a positive orientation ongoing.
Forecast: The solar wind environment is expected to continue to be mildly disturbed and enhanced on 26 Jun due to proximity of the northern flank of a negative polarity CH HSS. CH HSS proximity influences are anticipated to wane with ambient-like conditions returning for 27-28 Jun.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet to unsettled due to minor CH HSS proximity influences on 26 Jun. Quiet conditions are expected 27-28 June.
