Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 Nov 07 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity remained very low with no sunspots on the visible disk and no Earth-directed CMEs observed in available coronagraph imagery.

Forecast: Very low solar activity is expected 07-09 Nov.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux ranged from normal to high levels with a maximum of 1,220 pfu at 06/1750 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux continued at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach moderate to high levels 07-09 Nov and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were indicative of a mildly enhanced and slightly disturbed state. Total IMF strength ranged primarily from 3 to 6 nT and the Bz component underwent a period of predominantly southward direction between 06/2025-07/0210 UTC. Solar wind speed was 375-400 km/s until 06/2000 UTC when the speed increased and reached a peak of 455 km/s at 07/0034 UTC. Speed gradually and unsteadily decreased afterwards and was ~400 km/s by periods end. The phi angle was predominantly positive, with a period of mainly negative orientation between 06/2030-07/0200 UTC.

Forecast: A few additional minor disturbances are possible on 07 Nov due to HCS proximity and primarily ambient-like conditions are anticipated 08-09 Nov.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was mainly quiet, with an unsettled period from 06/2100-07/0000 UTC.

Forecast: Quiet to unsettled conditions are still expected on 07 Nov and predominantly quiet conditions are expected 08-09 Nov.
