Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 Dec 19 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. The visible disk was spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels on 19-21 Dec.

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 19-21 Dec. There is a chance high levels will be reached on 21 Dec due to ongoing CH HSS effects.

The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: The solar wind environment reflected a positive polarity CH HSS. Wind speeds averaged around 540 km/s, and total field was 2-8 nT. Brief periods of southward Bz in excess of -5 nT were observed. Phi was positive.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to remain elevated as CH HSS influences persist into 19 Dec. A gradual return to normal conditions is expected on 20 and 21 Dec.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to active.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly unsettled, with a chance of an active period through the remainder of 19 Dec. Quiet to unsettled conditions are anticipated on 20 and 21 Dec as CH HSS influences decrease.
