Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2019 Dec 23 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low this period. No active regions with sunspots were observed and no earth-directed CMEs were detected in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 23-25 Dec.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: Both the greater than 2 MeV electron flux and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux were below event thresholds throughout the period.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels through the forecast period. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were at background levels this period under a nominal solar wind regime.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to persist at background levels through 23 and 24 Dec. A minor enhancement is anticipated on 25 Dec due to equatorial, negative polarity CH HSS influence.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet throughout the period under a nominal solar wind regime.

Forecast: Generally quiet conditions are expected to persist over 23-24 Dec with quiet to isolated unsettled conditions likely on 25 Dec due to weak CH HSS influence.
