Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low this period. Region 2753 (S30E38, Bxo/beta) remained inactive. Region 2754 (N27W35, Axx/alpha) saw decay in its trailing spots, and remained inactive as well. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 25-27 Dec.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: Both the greater than 2 MeV electron flux and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux were below event thresholds throughout the period.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels through the forecast period. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to persist at background levels throughout the forecast period.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were at background levels, and phi was predominantly in a positive solar sector.
Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to become elevated on 25-26 Dec due to a negative polarity CH HSS. Parameters will settle back to normal, background levels on 27 Dec.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: Isolated unsettled conditions are likely on 25-26 Dec due to weak, negative polarity, CH HSS influence. Otherwise, quiet conditions are expected.
