Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Mar 05 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low, and the visible disk was spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain very low on 05-07 Mar.

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels while the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach moderate levels on 05-07 Mar due to HSS influence. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background values.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were at mostly background levels. Solar wind speeds decreased from 390 km/s to near 335 km/s. Total field ranged between 2-6 nT, and Bz briefly reached -5 nT as phi switched to a positive solar sector. Densities underwent a steady increase late in the period from background levels to a peak of 16.6 particles per cubic cm, likely due to proximity of the HCS.

Forecast: Isolated enhancements are still possible on 05-06 Mar, given likely connection to the southern crown [CH HSS].

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was mostly quiet with an isolated unsettled period early.

Forecast: Intermittent enhancements are possible for 05 Mar, resulting in isolated unsettled periods. A return to quiet conditions is forecast for 06-07 Mar, though isolated unsettled periods remain likely on 06 March due to the lingering proximity to the south pole extension.
