Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Mar 17 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low and the visible disk remained spotless. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available coronagraph imagery.
Forecast: Very low solar activity is expected 17-19 Mar due to lack of sunspot groups and no active regions of note.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was normal to moderate and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background values.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at normal to moderate levels 17-19 Mar and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to maintain background conditions.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters became slightly enhanced this period, likely due to HCS and weak CH HSS influences. Total field elevated to 6-8 nT, and the Bz component under went a maximum southward deflection of -6 nT. Wind speeds increased from ~330 km/s to a peak of 471 km/s. Phi has varied between positive and negative solar sectors.
Forecast: Occasional mild enhancements in the solar wind environment are anticipated to continue throughout the forecast period due to proximity of the HCS, and possible weak CH HSS influence.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly quiet, with an occasional unsettled period likely 17-19 Mar in response to any mild enhancements in the solar wind field.
