Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2759 (N28, L=261) decayed to plage and was absent of significant flare activity during the reporting period. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be at very low levels on 05-07 Apr.
Energetic Particles
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux maintained background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at moderate levels on 05-07 Apr. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, reflected mostly nominal conditions. Solar wind speed fluctuated between ~415-460 km/s. Total magnetic field strength was generally at or below 5 nT with a brief peak to 8 nT at about 05/0300 UTC. The Bz component had a maximum southward extent of -5 nT at about 04/0200 UTC. Phi angle was primarily oriented in a negative solar sector.
Forecast: Solar wind parameters are likely to continue tapering towards background conditions for the remainder of 05 Apr. Nominal conditions are expected to return on 06-07 Apr as an ambient solar wind regime prevails.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected on 05 Apr with generally quiet conditions expected on 06-07 Apr.
