Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Apr 28 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2760 (S07E03, Axx/alpha) continued to decay during the period and was inactive. New Region 2761 (S18W19, Bxx/beta) formed during the period, but remained inactive as well. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels on 28-30 Apr.

Energetic Particles

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to be at normal to moderate levels on 28-30 Apr. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to continue at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, reflected mostly nominal conditions. Total magnetic field strength ranged from 3-7 nT, and the Bz component underwent a brief, southward deflection of -5 nT. Solar wind speeds varied and averaged between 375-440 km/s. Phi angle was predominantly in a negative solar sector.

Forecast: The solar wind environment is expected to remain at or near background levels throughout the forecast period (28-30 Apr).

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled.

Forecast: Mostly quiet geomagnetic conditions are expected on 28-30 Apr as ambient solar wind conditions persist. Isolated periods of unsettled levels are possible throughout the forecast period.
