Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Jun 27 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. An emergent flux area near S25W62 intermittently contained a single, small sunspot this period. However, the area remains unnumbered at the time of this writing. No other active regions with spots were observed. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 27-29 Jun.
Energetic Particles
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained below event thresholds this period.
Forecast: Both the greater than 2 MeV electron and greater than 10 MeV proton fluxes are expected to remain below event thresholds over 27-29 Jun.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were at mostly background levels. A change to a negative phi angle around 26/1230 UTC suggested the passage of a SSBC. Following the initial boundary crossing, IMF total field strength values increased to a peak of 8 nT and Bz briefly reached -8 nT. After about 27/0130 UTC, phi orientation became variable between positive and negative angles. Wind speeds varied between about 295-350 km/s through the period.
Forecast: A slightly enhanced solar wind environment is expected to persist over 27-29 Jun due to the influences of multiple, negative polarity CH HSSs.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled this period.
Forecast: Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected on 27-29 Jun due to the influence of multiple, negative polarity CH HSSs.
