Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Jul 26 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2767 (S20E12, Hsx/alpha) was quiet and stable. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available imagery.
Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels on 26-28 Jul.
Energetic Particles
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux remained at background levels.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron and 10 MeV proton fluxes are expected to remain below event thresholds on 26-28 Jul.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, reflected the diminishing transient influence. Total magnetic field strength briefly reached a peak of 9 nT at 25/2136 UTC before decreasing to below 5 nT for the remainder of the reporting period. The Bz component was oriented southward during the same time period with a maximum southward deflection of -8 nT observed. Solar wind speeds increased from ~350-375 km/s to ~400-420 km/s. Phi angle was oriented in the negative sector after 26/0000 UTC.
Forecast: The solar wind environment is expected to continue a gradual return to background condition on days one and two (26-27 Jul). A weak enhancement is anticipated on day three (28 Jul) as a negative polarity CH HSS becomes geoeffective.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to active levels due to transient influence.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at mostly quiet conditions through 27 Jul. Quiet to unsettled levels are expected on 28 Jul due to the anticipated onset of CH HSS influence.
