Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Aug 21 1230 UTC.
Solar Activity
24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. Region 2772 (N17W70, Bxo/beta) continued to decay over the period. Coronal dimming was observed at 21/0219 UTC near S30E52 in SDO/AIA 193 imagery. Analysis of a potential CME will be performed as imagery becomes available.
Forecast: Very low solar activity is expected to continue on 21-23 Aug.
Energetic Particle
24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux maintained background values.
Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at normal to moderate levels on 21-23 Aug and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.
Solar Wind
24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were at nominal levels. Solar wind speed ranged from 294-331 km/s. Total field ranged from 1-4 nT while the Bz component was between +/-2 nT. Phi angle was variable.
Forecast: Solar wind conditions are anticipated to remain at ambient-like levels for 21-22 Aug. Weak enhancements due to CH HSS influence are anticipated for 23 Aug.
Geospace
24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet.
Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet levels on 21-22 Aug. Quiet to unsettled levels are expected on 23 Aug due to a weak CH HSS.
