Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Aug 28 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 28-30 Aug.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux maintained background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at normal to moderate levels on 28-29 Aug, likely increasing to moderate to high levels by 30 Aug. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters were indicative of continued, though slightly weaker, CH HSS influence. Solar wind speed averaged near 430 km/s, total field hovered near 5 nT until 28/0930 UTC when there was an increase to 7 nT. The Bz component saw a maximum southward deviation to -6 nT, though mostly near -1 nT. Phi angle remained in a predominantly positive orientation.

Forecast: Solar wind conditions are expected to remain elevated on 28 Aug, with further enhancements on 29-30 Aug, as CH influence persists.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels in response to positive polarity CH HSS influence.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to continue at quiet to unsettled levels, with a chance for isolated active periods, on 28-29 Aug. By 30 Aug, conditions are expected to become more unsettled, with active periods likely, due to increased CH HSS effects.
