Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Aug 29 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was very low. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to continue at very low levels on 29-31 Aug.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux was at normal to moderate levels, and the greater than 10 MeV proton flux maintained background values.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to continue at normal to moderate levels on 29 Aug, likely increasing to moderate to high levels over 30-31 Aug. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected to remain at background levels.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, reflected influence of a positive polarity CH HSS. Total magnetic field strength reached a peak of 11 nT at 28/1550 UTC. Bz reached as far south as -8 nT at 28/1520 UTC. Solar wind speeds increased to a maximum of 497 km/s at 28/1731 UTC. Phi angle was predominantly oriented in the positive sector.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to exhibit continued enhancements over the next three days (29-31 Aug) from multiple positive polarity CH HSSs.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field reached G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm conditions during the 28/1500-1800 UTC synoptic period. The remainder of the reporting period was quiet to active.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to reach unsettled to active levels over the next three days due to continue influence from multiple, positive polarity CH HSSs.
