Here is the current forecast discussion on space weather and geophysical activity, issued 2020 Oct 02 1230 UTC.

Solar Activity

24 hr Summary: Solar activity was at very low levels under a spotless visible disk. No Earth-directed CMEs were observed in available satellite imagery.

Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low on 02-04 Oct.

Energetic Particle

24 hr Summary: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux reached high levels with a peak flux of 32,400 pfu observed at 01/1605 UTC. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux was at background levels.

Forecast: The greater than 2 MeV electron flux is expected to reach high levels on 02-04 Oct. The greater than 10 MeV proton flux is expected continue at background levels on 02-04 Oct.

Solar Wind

24 hr Summary: Solar wind parameters, as measured by the DSCOVR spacecraft, reflected influence from a positive polarity CH HSS. Solar wind speeds were primarily between 500-550 km/s. Total magnetic field strength was below 5 nT. Phi angle was predominantly oriented in the positive sector.

Forecast: Solar wind parameters are expected to slowly decline through 03 Oct as CH HSS influence wanes. A return to nominal solar wind conditions is expected by 04 Oct.

Geospace

24 hr Summary: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels due to persistent CH HSS effects.

Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to unsettled levels on 02-03 Oct, with isolated active periods possible on 02 Oct, as CH HSS effects diminish. Mostly quiet conditions are expected on 04 Oct.
